- New home screen: every drive shows up as a card with a ring showing how full it is. Click a drive to start scanning. Your home folder is set up as a favorite out of the box.
- A Home button next to the back/forward arrows takes you back to that screen from anywhere.
- The app keeps itself up to date — it checks diskmapper.app once a day for new versions. You can turn that off in Settings. No usage data or system information is sent.
- Famous quotes from tech legends keep you company during long scans. All 638 of them ship inside the app — nothing is fetched from the internet.
- The map got a visual refresh: a roomier centre hub, breathing space between the rings, and a subtle glow — plus snappier redraws under the hood.
- Fixed scans of your home folder taking forever (or seeming stuck) if you keep a lot of files in iCloud Drive or Dropbox.
- Built-in help: the Help menu now opens the full user guide (⌘?), and there are menu items to visit diskmapper.app or email support with your version details pre-filled.
- A Reset option in Settings clears favorites and scan history without touching any of your settings.
- Known issue: files duplicated on your disk (Finder's Duplicate, copied project folders) can make folders look bigger than the space they actually use. A fix is planned for the next release.

- Double-click to dive into folders; breadcrumbs and back/forward take you anywhere you've been.
- A sortable file list with Quick Look previews, plus panels for the biggest files on the disk and system junk that's safe to clear out.
- Check off files across any view, then trash them, remove their local iCloud copies, or move/copy them somewhere else — with a running total of the space you'll get back.
- Knows the difference between files that are really on your disk and iCloud placeholders, so the numbers are honest.
- Fast: a full 1 TB drive with millions of files scans in under half a minute.
